Ann “Nunu” Licharew
is the founder of NUNU FILMS LLC, a premier documentary production house based in Atlanta, Georgia and specialized in cinematic storytelling that captures the soul behind the personas shaping hip-hop, R&B, and global Black culture. As a U.S. Fulbright Scholar and UNC-Chapel Hill School of Journalism graduate, she is recognized for her ability to build radical trust with subjects, ranging from global celebrities to local community leaders and resulting in raw, character-driven narratives that define modern culture. As an Anthem Award Winner for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, she is dedicated to cinematic excellence that bridges the gap between high-quality filmmaking and deep cultural relevance. Established in August 2025, the company has since produced Hip-Hop’s Unknown Connection to College Radio (2025), and Aruanda: Afro-Brazilian Culture in Brazil’s First Capital (2027), a feature-length documentary sponsored by the U.S. Fulbright Program and currently in post-production. Before its initial inception, the company had already begun shaping its voice through early works The Little War (2023) and Pieces of a Legacy (2024).
